Swimming Merit Badge and ARC Level 5: "Stroke Refinement" with 1st class Swimming Skills
Level 4 certification (or equivalent skill ability) is a prerequisite for this course. A course designed to help participants refine their strokes and swimming skills. Participants will refine the following strokes: front crawl, back crawl, elemantary backstroke, sidestroke, and breaststroke. They will learn how to perform the following swimming skills: survival floating, treading water, standing dive from a 1 meter board, surface dives, and inflating clothing. Participants will have the opportunity to earn the Swimming Merit Badge, American Red Cross Level 5 swimming certificate, and complete their 1st class swimming advancement skills.
Water Entry and Exit

Shallow dive, glide two body lengths, begin any front stroke
